TownePlace Suites by Marriott Richmond

My husband was in town for a week long training. I came along for company. We were both pleased and stayed an extra night! Location was close to good restaurants, and no highway noise. The kitchen had a full fridge and two stove burners, with needed dishes and dishwasher! They also offered a borrow system for other kitchen items and family games to play! We didn’t use the indoor heated pool but it was very clean. Bed sheets and blankets smelled sooo fresh! There was a sofa bed and extra blanket/pillow. Also,. The TV offers Netflix, Amazon Prime, but you need your login info, and remember to log out after your stay is done. All staff was pleasant and helpful: from the front desk, maintenance manager John, the two lady’s that did breakfast ( which was great: eggs, oatmeal, sausage, waffles,

The room was clean and the beds were nice. Pillows are hotel pillows nothing to write home about. Same with the breakfast, standard free breakfast fare. A word of caution to people sensitive to fragrances, this lobby is highly fragranced. I couldn't even make it half way through breakfast before I started having asthmatic reactions. The toiletries they provide are also fragranced, but it was a lot lighter scent than expected and was tolerable. Would stay here again, just more prepared now.

We stayed here one night as a stopover while on a road trip. This hotel was clean and seemed new which is very important to us when choosing hotels since we have a 6 week old newborn and a 10 year old kid. We stayed in a studio suite with two queen beds and it was a nicely spaced room. The beds were very comfortable, the bathrooms was clean and the kitchenette was well equipped. The breakfast in the morning was perfect for our needs. The staff was very friendly, especially the lady who checked us in at night…Extremely friendly and that’s a plus for us. I would highly recommend this hotel and probably would stay here again.

Stopped along the way while moving across the US. We were so thankful they allowed our pet bulldog to stay with us in the room. We were close to an exit door which was great for middle of the night pet potty breaks. The room was very clean with lots of space for all of us. The staff at this location was terrific. We were warmly greeted at check-in, given lots of good morning hellos at breakfast and a quick checkout and kind goodbye. Miss Ginger provided an excellent breakfast to fill us up for our second Travel day. She offered everything you could possibly need to get you going. Thank you to the team at this TownePlace suites Richmond location. Next time, I am traveling through I will definitely return.

The room was nice but there were a few things. The shower door wouldn't close water everywhere. The bottom of the kitchen cabinets were pretty battered aluminum kick plate would have gone a long way. Even so it was clean, the furniture was pleasing and the breakfast was great. I especially liked the personalized TV greeting. I would stay here again.
