Red Roof Inn Richmond, KY

Very nice accommodations for a moderate price. I took the single room with a hot tub and had a little stay-cation. Private and quiet, just what I needed for a little getaway close to home. Dylan was very helpful and professional. I appreciated his commitment to making my stay relaxing. The hot tub is large enough for two with plenty of hot water and great pressure. Will stay again at my next opportunity.

When we got to our room it smelled of straight chlorine. I have to young kida that do not need ro smell that all night. Then we noticed crumbs and food all over the floor. The toilet paper was used (not a nee roll). We bought a suit as well with a pull out couch that had not been clean in years it seems. We to front desk and Dylan was the most kind person! He tried everything he could to help us! But he also could not provide more towles than the two in the room provided as he had no access. I was not the only one to ask this either. Again we booked for 4 people to stay and only 2 towels with no access to more. The towels we did have were stained with black something. The sheets had a red stain that looked like blood. We ended up checking out as a mom i could not allow my children in that

The rooms were nasty. The blankets and sheets were brown in 3 different rooms. And 2 of those rooms had bugs in them along with the law calling rats they had working at the front desk i couldn’t get comfortable nor a refund! I found a loaded needle in the hallway. Just an all around bad experience! Not recommended for anyone as of right now! Mr Patella, I think that’s how you spell it, long time owner, has allowed these things to happen by hiring a poor general manager.. and 2cnd shift manager. It’s a direct reflection of the people in there life and lifestyle that stay here! As a local it’s easy to spot! And not a single maintenance man in site!

First - the front desk people are professional, attentive and welcoming. This review is not about them - at all - they were awesome. The low rating is about the condition of the property and rooms. Outside main entrance ground is filled with cigarette butts, broken bench, trash all over and dead landscaping. The room was worn, poorly maintained and in need of repairs. Not worth the low price. Update - just looked up who owns/runs hotel and found that it is up for auction in 16 days. That makes sense.

This was a ridiculous “hotel”… what the reviews don’t tell you is that you are right beside very low income housing. Literal old toilets outside the front doors. There is so an addiction center right beside it and it’s totally in the middle of nothing. Also the police station was right there so I guess there was some form of quick protection if needed. Lol. It’s honestly scary. ||||Very dated - I checked for bugs but couldn’t find any- that actually surprised me. The bed is one of those crazy bouncy ones. At this point I just had to laugh. Gross old showers and bathroom from when it was built. Not very nice sheets- think … like the pictures but yellowing. ||||Nice staff. Would never stay at a red roof again.
