Countryside Inn

Checked in Dec 22nd at 7pm checked out at 11:20pm. Place has roaches. Was told when i checked out that night they would refund my money. I have called and called. They took my money and didn't refund it. Do not rent a room here. I even left the 2 roaches i killed on the floor for them to see.

When I arrived the owner tried to charge me more than I had been promised when booking. The woman at the front desk did fight to charge me the original price which I appreciated, but the first room key she gave me didn’t work and the second key worked after several tries but there was already a person in the room! As 2 female travelers, opening the door to a strange man at midnight in KY of all places could have ended up with us getting hurt or worse!! The woman at the front desk was apologetic, said she “forgot” to change the man in the room’s reservation in the system and promised it wouldn’t happen again, but at that point we didn’t even take the third room she offered us, and based on these reviews about bugs it seems that was a good thing after all. I reserved 2 full sized beds in a non-smoking room. When I got there, they didn't have the technology to look up a confirmation code. They had sold my room type out, and I was stuck with a single bed non-smoking, or a 2 bed smoking. The lobby smelled so bad from smoke. I wanted confirmation that I wouldn't get charged because I wasn't going to stay. I was told that they don't store numbers anyway, because some of their workers had gotten in trouble making false charges on customer credit cards!!!! I was significantly inconvenienced in a sold out city. This was the worst experience ever.

I recently stopped during a long road trip at Countryside Inn in Richmond Kentucky with my wife and two kids. We were a little turned off by some of the reviews we had read online however it was so close on I75 interstate that we decided to give it a chance. I must say, for the price, we were very impressed with the room and the staff. Our room was good size, it had a new microwave and mini fridge plus the bathrooms were more up to date then most "cheap motels". This made my wife very happy!

I must give a pat on the back to the staff at Countryside Inn. I had stayed there months ago was very dissatisfied but it was the only place that I could afford at the time. I recently had a temporary job back in Richmond and needed a hotel room for a month and CSI was the perfect location and even 6 months ago it was by far the best choice in this area. So I stopped by CSI first and asked the lady at the desk if i could see the room I would be staying in and she did not mind to let me. I noticed as I was walking to the room that there were many security cameras surrounding the building which made me feel very safe. The room was shockingly different then I remember and I was actually impressed! The bathroom was updated and clean, the linens were outdated, but clean, I did not see evidence
