TownePlace Suites by Marriott Atlanta Alpharetta

This hotel was booked on the tail end of a two and half week vacation. We needed to be near a certain restaurant and close enough to get to the airport. Check in went smooth. No issues since we booked with hotels.com Upon entering the room everything looked nice. Beds, rooms, kitchen all looked very good. Unfortunately, we did notice the bathroom door (2nd which has the toilet and shower) was off level so it could close but not stay secure in the hole for privacy. (See bathroom video) The same was discovered with the door to the bedroom door which if not shut properly would slowly swing back open like a creepy horror movie door. I am a now regular business traveler, in Alpharetta, and also all over the country. In terms of my Alpharetta stays, I am there now, at least one week per month where I am responsible for my lodging expense. For the value, this place is perfect. It has everything I need in terms of kitchen facilities, basic workout equipment and wide variety of breakfast items that I really enjoy each morning that add even more value. I've now stayed three times and while we had a recent reservation hiccup (that I have been assured will not happen again), they were apologetic and quick to explain and correct it which I very much appreciate and which says a lot for the dedicated staff, who I have also grown to appreciate now that I am a regular visitor, who could stay anywhere. My family had stayed at Towneplace before, so we were excited to come back again and seeing they were pet friendly was a plus. The staff was amazing and accommodating as always. The breakfast was just as I remembered it good. However, it appears the room we were in, 218 across from the lobby has not been updated in year's. There appeared to be bad water damage the bedroom to your right. The bathroom toilet was not flushing when you flushed the toilet it had to do this weird fill up after about a minute or so you could flush it. My suggestion is to update, update, update!!! I then would definitely recommend to any and everyone!

Made a reservation online and checked in just fine. The staff was friendly enough and they also offer breakfast in the morning which is nice! The room is very clean, it's spacious, it has all of the amenities that you would need to accommodate your stay. The kitchen has a 2 burner stove top, microwave, sink, refrigerator, coffee pot and a toaster. They also have enough bowls, cups, pots and pans, forks/spoons/knives and such for two people. It's small but clean and serves it's purpose! The room also has a large desk with a roll out table and sofa bed. Only thing i wasn't a fan of was the bed because it was a little hard but otherwise fine and there was also an odd sulfur like odor on 1st floor by the elevator after leaving the lobby. Positive: The space of the suite Negative: It is a pet friendly hotel, but they charge us $100/night, for a medium size dog, it's the same amount for four adults per night stay, it is too much. And the additional bedding for the sofa bed missed the flat sheet.
