The Wayfarer San Luis Obispo, Tapestry Collection by Hilton

Outstanding customer service and excellent hotel. We arrived at 12:30am on a Sunday night without reservations, when our road trip had an unexpected hitch and we needed a place to stay. Hamed checked his computer and was able to get us a room on the spot. He was gracious, professional, and kind. The room was spacious, clean, comfortable, and stylish (although at that hour we mostly just appreciated the comfy beds and cozy blankets). Breakfast the next morning was delicious. Near the breakfast room, there is a sheltered outdoor patio that has a large magnetic wall-mounted Scrabble board, and an equally large wall-mounted Lite-Brite. Fantastic! This will definitely be our go-to hotel any time we are in San Luis Obispo. Highly recommend!

This is my third time staying at this hotel and is my go-to hotel in SLO. The rooms are nicely decorated, although some have had wear. I love the bar, outside fire pit, and other amenities. The hotel is somewhere you want to relax in the evening. In addition, the location is fantastic. It is close to downtown, Cal Poly, and a quick jump to the highway.

Rooms are nice, I just had a problem with the cleanliness. We had to switch rooms because the first room was not very clean and had an odor. They were really nice and we were able to change rooms. In the new room the restroom smelled like urine. Other than that the place is really nice and is kid friendly. They have a shuffleboard and games to play along with televisions.

I recently stayed here for one week and had a wonderful experience. This hotel is in a convenient location, has a hip, friendly vibe, nicely appointed rooms, facility is clean and in excellent condition. The on site Schoolyard restaurant has a warm atmosphere and food was tasty. Shout out to Austin at the front desk who took care of my special requests. Overall the property exceeded my expectations and I will definitely return. Highly recommended.

Great hotel. Good location close to city and nice pool and spa. Very quiet.
