The Upton

We stayed at The Upton in the Tremont apartment for 4 nights. It was fantastic! The place was sparkling clean and very comfortable for us. The location in the South End of Boston was perfect. We walked everywhere and felt very safe. The neighborhood is relatively quiet and more low key compared to other touristy areas of Boston which we greatly appreciated. Wonderful restaurants on every block. This will be our “go to” place to stay on any returning visits.

Fantastic place to stay and enjoy the South End of Boston. We had a car and paid for the parking spot each night. It was conveniently located behind the hotel and well worth the price. Street parking it very limited and garage parking is even more costly. Our room was clean and extremely comfortable. We will be staying here again. Great location for walking, dining and shopping without being in the hustle and bustle of all the tourists. Laura and Olivia were so easy to work with and quick to respond.

My stay at The Upton couldn’t have been more comfortable or convenient. As a long time Boston resident who has moved away, I’ve finally found my Boston home away from home. Laura and Olivia were wonderful hosts, the room was very comfortable, and loved the easy access with the same code for the front door and room (customized for each guest). The location is perfect for enjoying the South End nightlife or getting in and out from the airport easily. And the nights were quiet and peaceful. I’m looking forward to returning soon!

My second stay and I continue to enjoy the special hospitality of the Upton. As an architect I enjoy the clever and original layouts of the different rooms, the design details, and attention to comfort. Love the views and this location counts as one of Boston's best- handy to S End, Back Bay and Downtown neighborhoods. ||Laura is friendly and wise and helpful - it shows in every aspect from cleanliness to communications to the kinds of guests who are attracted back. ||Love the Starbucks down the block; several of my favorite restaurants are within a block. (I am from Boston and used to live on Beacon Hill - the Upton has change my mind about what location, location , location means in Boston. )

The Upton continues to deliver - charming, thoughtful design, the best location in Boston, and the feeling you're lucky enough to have a friend with a big town house who invites you back. This was my second stay - I am an architect and love the views out to Upton Street. Laura verges on being a spiritual teacher for her availability, local recommendations, and ever -positive energy. Last visit I bumped into celebrity guests -- they also appreciated the personal, small-scale comfort and ambience of the Upton.
