Mariners House

Not for everyone - but as my husband said he felt at home, like he was on the ship. If you qualify, it's in a great location and the price is unbeatable. More than a hotel, a great base to explore Boston, with meaningful maritime decor. Basic rooms, but great service to our mariners.

The Mariners House is a must stay if you are in Boston ( and can get a room). The historic hotel is next door to Paul Revere’s House in the historic North End. This means the location is great! The many public rooms on the 1st floor are wonderfully decorated and a great place for some quiet time and the box windows are great for people watching. The rooms a small and cozy with good AC and heat. They are clean. The only problem is that tv and WiFi are pretty bad. I got neither from my room. For $65 per night, I’ll stay here again.

From the moment we walked in, we felt right at home. The rooms come at a great rate, and the breakfast was superb! Thank you Mariners House!

This is really a special place. The location couldn’t be better, the public spaces are full of charm and warmth, the staff is super friendly, the made-to-order breakfasts are delicious… There’s even an enclosed patio that I imagine would be lovely on summer nights! The rooms are small and very basic - in honesty, the beds aren’t great (I wouldn’t stay here again without bringing my own pillow.). But the heat works great, the sheets are soft, everything is super clean and well maintained, the hot water in the shower is plentiful… For the price, I can forgive the less than stellar bed. Having the privilege of being able to stay here, I’d never stay anyplace else in Boston. Really, being able to stay here at this price feels like a gift.

Amazing location, great breakfast and good rates for anyone who works on the ocean.
