The Town's Inn

Our group of 6 bicyclists and 1 support vehicle/driver stayed at The Town's Inn en route from Pittsburgh to DC on the GAP and C&O trails. We rented 2 suites and 1 room (with an ensuite bathroom) in total. While I realize that this may not be the type of place for everyone, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The Inn is rustic, clean and charming. The bathrooms were a combination shower and toilet which took a little getting used to. Yes, there are a lot of items sitting around the Inn for sale, but it's really just part of the personality of the Inn. Our beds and linens were comfortable while Karan and Tyler (Karan's employee) were very hospitable and attentive. I am rating this inn a 5/5. It's simple—they provide, accomodate, and excel in what is outlined in their booking site. Is it a 5-star hotel? No! Is it a cozy, historic, and convenient location that provides all basic necessities for a short 1-2 night stay? Yes! Karan and the owner are both sweet ladies that give this inn a truly grandma's house in the mountains feel. I couldn't be more appreciative of their warmth, disposal to help in any way possible, and amicable treatment of all of their guests. Helpful tips: 1. Parking, as outlined, can be complicated given the lack of space available. We opted for parking in the Appalachian Trail Conservancy during the day, which is free—then moved our car to the train station in the evening for easier access. Highly recommend to do it this way! 2.

This historic hotel is as quirky and fun as I hoped it would be. Most historic buildings have something unique and weird about them and the Town's Inn is no different. The stairs are steep and narrow, the ceilings can be low, and there are odd ledges everywhere that you can easily trip over, but this all shines a light on how people used to live. My room was very comfortable, service was very casual, location is fantastic. I would definitely stay again!

The Town's Inn at Harpers Ferry is truly Almost Heaven! After hiking and picnicking in Harpers Ferry with my Mom since I was a little girl (that would be 50+ years), I finally popped in to this adorable little Inn. Now remember, we are in historic Harpers Ferry, this is not the Ritz Carlton in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The Town's Inn is exactly as the name suggests, an Inn for the Town, for the people, for those in need of a warm place to curl-up and settle in for a night or two. It is quaint, cozy and has all the creature comforts with a convenience store on-site. Rooms are basic, clean and affordable. If you are coming off of the AT from a long day of hiking, you live local and are looking for a fun 'staycation' or have visitors coming from out of town and want to expose them to an eclectic

Great place to stop. It’s in the heart of Harper’s Ferry all the attractions are within walking distance of hotel. The train station is also within walking distance. My train got in at 12 noon. I had been on the train since Chicago. They were very understanding and let me check in early since the room was ready and take a shower. I would stay again.
