Harpers Ferry Guest House

I spent 2 nights in the Cardinal suite. It was so lovely and comfortable I didn't want to leave. Great coffee and breakfast items, snacks and a mini fridge in the room with a microwave in the common area. My hosts were extremely accommodating and helpful when a storm arrived unexpectedly and I needed a late check out to wait for it to pass. Even rearranged things so I could stay another night if necessary. I'd give it a 10+ but only a 5 is available.

We had a wonderful two-day stay at the Guest House, staying in the Blue Bird suite. The room was very clean, comfortable, well-appointed with everything we needed, and quiet. We slept like babies after busy days of hiking around Harpers Ferry. Everything was clearly communicated to us prior to our arrival and we had no issues coming and going through the well-marked private entrance. The hosts went above and beyond to proactively assist us in knowing about more limited dining options on the particular days we were visiting (Monday/Tuesday), which helped us easily find nice places to dine. We would be happy to return. If it’s your first visit to Harpers Ferry, I highly recommend a tour with one of the certified guides available through the Harpers Ferry Park Association.

We booked last minute, wanting to get off the highway on our trip from NH to western NC. Harper’s Ferry was the perfect place! The Guest house was easy to find, and we experienced excellent communication from the host. We stayed in the Cardinal room and it was exceptional. Comfortable king bed- lots of space, and nice bathroom. This property is a short walk to the historic downtown with interesting places to eat and beautiful views of the river. We WILL stay here again!

My husband and I just spent a long weekend here and we couldn’t have been more pleased with the accommodations. We stayed in the Cardinal Room. It was very spacious, quiet, clean and comfortable. The owners thought of everything, from snacks and drinks available in our room, to sending us a guidebook with instructions for checking in and out, and recommendations on places to visit and eat. The location was perfect too, just a short walk into the historic district. We had a wonderful time and highly recommend Harpers Ferry Guest House to anyone looking for a great place to stay. You will not be disappointed!

On a recent adventure on Amtrak to Harpers Ferry, WV we stayed at the Bluebird Suite, a Guest House. First, this is a Guest House not a hotel or bed & breakfast. The difference is the Guest Hose does not have all the services as with a hotel and a B&B. In saying that, it was a very nice room with a semi-private entrance. There was a patio outside with chairs and tables. In the room there is a small refrigerator, coffee maker (Keurig), coffee pods and other items in both the refrigerator and on the cabinet. Access was all self service using a key code they sent a few days before our arrival as well as a list of restaurants that were open on Monday. The room was very clean, comfortable bed and the TV had as many channel options as anyone would want. The bathroom had a shower stall with ampl
