This gem is one of my favorite of the PATC cabins, though to be fair this one is over-qualifies for "cabin". It has one of the most beautiful views of the Potomac in all of Harper's Ferry and is a stones throw from the famous Jefferson's Rock. The house is old but well maintained and I look forward to my next visit! FYI there are no linens and towels, you need to bring your own. There is a radiator and air conditioning. No pets. The kitchen is well stocked with cookware, a coffeemaker, and some basic essentials (oil, S&P, sugar, ect).

This beautiful Victorian home upkept by volunteers and trail enthusiasts has the most spectacular views in Harper's ferry. Consider it a camping cabin tucked into a fully furnished Victorian home. There are yellow jackets living in a wall which makes one of the bedrooms a little tough to access. The outlets are old and loose which can breed a bit of a fire hazard, but the heat works and there are fans for windows in the summer. Not everyone has an opportunity to stay here and that makes it a very special place, especially with all of the tourism in the town below. Don't underestimate these hills, and make sure you're prepared to clean up after yourself, and you can have the most amazing time that Harper's has to offer.

Absolute favorite childhood vacation spot. Quaint village like atmosphere, this place had a little bit of everything. Great hiking, wonderful views, it's brimming with historical sites and shopping, good fishing and kayaking for those with some experience. It's challenging for anyone with mobility issues as the roads and sidewalks are very STEEP. Some areas are inaccessible except by staircase. There is a local hostel, B&B's, and a number of rentals (which can be pricey). it is definitely worth a day trip if not a long weekend to really enjoy this gem.

Beautiful views and a lovely historic home. Cannot say enough good things about the porch! Just wish I had known that I needed to bring my own sheets and towels...

Another outstanding PATC property, though not a "cabin" by any stretch. Great views of the river, wonderful porch, and just a few steps from both the AT & town.
