Halfway Hideaway Hostel in Harpers Ferry

One of the best hostel experiences I had on trail. I stayed during the Flip Flop Festival in 2025. Great location to the ATC, convenient bus shuttle if needed to resupply, and close to restaurants and historic district. The whole place was welcoming, clean and I felt at home.

After an amazing hike on the Appalachian Trail, I made my way to Harpers Ferry and found this cozy hostel just a short walk from the AT Center. I started my day with a great meal and a delicious coffee before checking in, and the vibe was super chill. The staff was friendly, making me feel right at home. My upstairs room had fresh linens and a comfy atmosphere that was perfect for relaxing. The showers were stocked, and the laundry facilities were a nice bonus. Plus, the lounging areas were inviting, filled with history and tasty food around. I really appreciated the warm welcome and enjoyed my stay!

Nice accommodations in an older home that is well maintained. Patches our host was very welcoming. Located at the top of the hill coming out of Harper’s Ferry. Nice chill vibe with the guests.

Five stars if you're a trail hiker - super chill place and hiker friendly (place to leave and swap things, clothes loaner cabinet, washing machine). Beds were comfy and AC was cranked up for a super cozy night.

Hippie is a true hiker, he is kind, generous with his time and a true treasure. The hostel is spotless, bathrooms sparkle, kitchen was well stocked, clean and neat. Great location! I can’t say enough good things about it…
