The Strathallan Rochester Hotel & Spa - a DoubleTree by Hilton

Had the pleasure of staying here for a night while in Rochester visiting my sons. The hotel just underwent renovations. It is lovely! Clean, well-run, and exceptional staff. It also has the best hotel gym I’ve ever worked out in! Such a wonderful surprise. Lots of room, and equipment that is more than a couple of treadmills and a set of dumbbells up to 50 lbs. Kettlebells, sleds, Hammer strength square rack, multiple benches, Peleton bike, Echelon mirror, and more! A real treat! :) Will definitely return!

The location is excellent. Right in the heart of the artsy part of Rochester. The customer service is wonderful. You can tell folks working here enjoy it. Amanda, the event coordinator, is incredibly helpful and friendly. She made sure our event went smoothly and all our needs were met. Ryan at the front desk is great too! Awesome Team!

The Strathallan is a lovely hotel right in downtown Rochester with free parking. Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. We loved the balcony. The bed was especially comfortable. The bathroom was well appointed and supplied with everything we needed. ||The price was remarkably good for such a lovely hotel. || The staff were all friendly and competent. I want to commend all the staff who took such good care of us, but especially Tim, who helped me straighten out a reservation snafu when the main Hilton reservation line was both incompetent and unhelpful. ||The restaurant, Char, is pricey but the food is wonderful and the service was efficient and attentive.

Positive: "" Negative: Not clean, staff was rude especially the room service cleaning staff and bar staff, the lobby stinks bad of Marijuana at night, shower leaked all over the bathroom floor. Very poor experience for the hype of the hotel and price.

I had a great time during my recent stay at this hotel. It’s nearing completion of an update, and I got one of the old-style rooms. The room was spacious, clean, and equipped with modern amenities like streaming services. There’s also a rooftop bar with stunning views of downtown Rochester. The hotel’s hours are great for weeknights, so it’s definitely worth a visit!
