Hampton Inn & Suites Rochester Downtown

Checked in just after midnight after a terrible experience with a hotel at the airport. I was thrilled to walk into a clean, nice smelling, friendly hotel. My room was spotless and the bed was comfy. The breakfast was definitely the highlight of my stay! The lobby/dining area is bright and open, and the waffles were delicious.

We have stayed in quite a few hotels in the Rochester areas and hands down this is our favourite hotel. Its clean. Friendly. Modern and fresh. If you have little ones the pool is perfection with a large shallow end. It’s right across the street from the Strong Museum, which is what brings us to Rochester, and this hotel extends all our fun. The front desk is very friendly, professional, and accommodating. 10/10 recommended

Fair price and good location for Uni of Rochester

Let me just start off saying that I've spent hundreds and hundreds of dollars here. I've never had an issue. The hotel manager was great, Angelo was great! And I tend to come to the bar to have their $2 oysters for happy hour. I've never had an issue but today I had a housekeeping person randomly come up to me and ask me about keys in a bathroom. No idea what she was talking about, and then pressed me about it. I asked to speak to the operations manager. Tanner did not care about anything. I had to say rude disrespectful young-minded but I understand the industry because I've worked for the industry for a long time so I understand so they have to protect their own but the way he went about it was not okay. Came to Rochester for the Strong's Museum. This hotel was perfect. Right next door to the museum. Rooms were well-kept with comfy beds. Great breakfast (eggs, sausage, potatoes, and everything else). Clean, modern lobby. Nice pool area. Great experience.
