The Ritz-Carlton, San Francisco

Perfect stay for an overnight holiday date. The hotel is still so glamorous! They remember the little touches that distinguish five-star hotels. We had a lovely cocktail in the bar before dinner. We had excellent service and the bar is so classy - cloth cocktail napkins, dark and moody lighting, little dish of olives and chips served with our drinks. The doorman was friendly and elegant and secured the house car for us a few times. One of the few hotels in the city with double vanities, which I really like. And last, but very notably, we had such a warm and friendly experience checking in with Zach. He is fantastic. We will be back!

Just checked in. Staff at the door was fantastic and the rooms look great. The woman at the front desk leaves a lot to be desired. When asked for a clarification, she responded with “that’s what I said”. Least mannerly person I’ve ever come across at a Ritz. Will absolutely weigh into where we stay next visit. Four seasons is just down the road if you want a real luxury stay with a friendly staff.

Great hotel with over 100 year old history. Ritz is a pet friendly hotel. We weren’t particularly fond of dogs so we found out a hard way. Nice 5 minutes walk to Chinatown and 10 minutes to Union Square.

Had a two-night stay at the hotel and from entry to exit the staff was incredibly accommodating. People at the resort need to be called out for the exemplary service they had. ||First was Reception - Kiriah at reception gave us very early access into our room at 6:30am as we had been driving for over 10 hours and up for over 24 hours. She was fabulous. Teresa also in reception was fabulous in assisting confirming logistics with our vehicle and valet.||Second was Parallel 37 - Rei and Sui were simply phenomenal in their service, attention and how engaging they were. Rei brought us complementary juice and a fruit plate and enjoyed learning more about them and their families.||The room was cozy and the grounds are decorated in a classy and professionally fashion. Tremendous STAFF they are TOP NOTCH!! Amazing staff really makes an experience be luxurious. Starts with Scott & Robert greeting you at your car & assisting with your luggage. They go out of their way to make you feel welcomed. The front desk staff are welcoming also. After leaving the hotel, my Mom realized she left envelopes of money in the room. She’s 82 & slower. This was for our cruise leaving today. $2000 was left in room 715 on 12/17/2025. I called the hotel, the gentleman put me on hold, I was outside at the cruise terminal, it was very hard to hear him, but he could hear me. The money was turned into security from housekeeping 🥰.
