Recent reviews have been very poor, apparently because of renovation work. All I can say is that things looked fine when I was there in the latter part of November. It's exactly what it aims to be: a good, highly affordable hotel in an excellent location. The room was comfortable, clean and quiet. It's a few minutes' walk from the vast indoor Sheraton/ Prudential / Hynes/ Marriott complex. The staff were friendly and welcoming. I'd recommend it to anyone who wants to stay in the area.

Positive: The location is great. It is also newly remodeled. . Negative: The hotel charred my card $116 after I already prepaid for my room. I called to ask about the charge and they said they didn’t know what it was for, the manager would have to look at it and call me back. Nothing. What a sham. No receipt was provided.

We stayed at Midtown Hotel Boston and overall had a pleasant experience, but there were a few issues that affected our stay. The room was comfortable, very nice window view, and the hotel is very budget-friendly. However, there was a blockage in the bathtub. On the last day of our visit, someone came to fix it, but the work was left incomplete, with wires and other materials left in the bathroom. Because of this, we had to change our room on the final day, which was inconvenient. There was no room service provided during our stay, and the hotel does not offer any breakfast options, which is something future guests should be aware of. My stay at the hotel in Boston was 2/19/2026 to 2/232026 and I rented two rooms at 550.34 a piece. I was charged an additional 300.00 per room for in the event that damages do occur. Saturday, we were informed about the weather and had leave early so that we wouldn't get stuck in the snow storm. Additionally, our train was cancelled so we had to rent a car. I requested to speak with the manager on that Saturday to address charges because we had to leave early so we wouldn't get stuck in Boston during the snow storm and I was informed that the manager would be in first thing Sunday morning at 9am. This was my 2nd stay in Midtown Hotel, and I was impressed with Oliver Wood & the staff in the front desk and so on. They were warm, present, attentive and caring. It's good to experience, and I needed to voice my appreciation as a guest. Whatever they are paid, they deserve a raise! Take care of these people, they are an asset. Looking forward to staying at Midtown Hotel upon my visits in Boston.
