The Metro Hotel

Great location - lots of nice food spots and walk to The Independent. Tastefully decorated and it was very clean, which is huge for me. The bed and pillows were so comfortable I didn't want to get up, lol! Would stay again and again, hope to be back soon. Front desk is friendly and informative. Also, Lil chocolate snack and very yummy tea assortment in the lobby was much appreciated.

I am reviewing The Metro Hotel on Divisadero Street in San Francisco. Although the location of this hotel is very good, the price was not right for this very old building. Our room was so small, it was difficult for my husband and I to move around and find a place for our suitcases. The bathroom was clean and bright, but the shower took about 5 minutes to get hot water. Isn’t it important to conserve water here? The bench in the room was dirty and stained. The carpeted floor was uneven. The heating system was weird. There was not enough lighting and one of the ceiling lights was constantly flickering. The only nice thing about this hotel was the people who were at the front t desk. They were very helpful, friendly, and kind. There was also tea and chocolates always available in the lobby.

This place is absolutely perfect. The location is great, it’s a super cute cozy little spot. My fiance and I have stayed here multiple times, and they are the nicest most accommodating people I’ve ever met. We got engaged last year in SF, and they were so sweet giving us a hand written congratulations card along with some chocolates, and flowers. Super personable people and honestly I can’t recommend them enough! Here’s a pic from our surprise engagement shoot last year. Thanks to Ashley and the team for helping make that day even more special for us!

derek helped me booked our stay - he was patient, helpful, understanding and kind. ashley upgraded us without us asking which we appreciated so much - it was a pleasant surprise. there's no parking which was an issue. no elevator but its ok. we loved the tea and water provided in the beautiful lobby. will definitely stay here again because of the comfortable beds, cozy room and excellent staff!

Cozy hotel in a really good location. Many nice cafes and restaurants nearby, feels very safe. The double room we stayed in was very small for 2 people, but works fine if you don’t intend to stay all the time in the room. Would stay there again!
