The Lodge Nantahala River

Our Stay at the Lodge was nothing short of spectacular. We enjoyed the ambiance as well as the smore kits and amenities. The kitchen that comes with room was perfect for us to make meals however there is no ovens o keep that in mind. Everything about this trip was beautiful I really recommend going on hikes there’s plenty spots near the lodge you really can spend the whole week in just this area alone. There are so many secret or hidden areas that create an amazing senery. We plan to visit again as a reminder of the beautiful time we had together here. Highly recommend for Couples wanting a special getaway.

I felt that we were staying in a tree house in the woods! The cabin vibe, comfy bed, and rocking chairs on the porch were perfect for us. This lodge is located just 3 miles from Nantahala Outdoor Center and River's End Restaurant! We spent an amazing time there watching kayakers from the river's edge, enjoying cocktails lounging in our Adirondack chairs and enjoying the rapids.|This lodge is close to the Hellbender 28 drive and loop that meets with 129 at The Dragons Tail 11 mile drive for motorcycle and sports car enthusiasts. My hubby loved driving it. |Upon arriving back at the lodge, you do need to climb up a short but steep hill to get back to the lodge, but that's what one does to stay in the trees! |They have a very interesting convenience/vending area for necessities. We loved everything about the Lodge. Everything was available, didn't have to think of anything or bring anything. The description may have said so, but you can hear the neighbors but it didn't bother us much. Had to bring the car up to top of hill to get my wife, the walk up from the parking lot is kind of steep. Would definitely return with the kids

Stayed here for a couple nights. The staff is nice on the phone and courteous. We needed a pet friendly place. As far as pet friendly it’s good. If you have pets then it’s worth it. The location is nice but very steep. The walls are paper thin and you can hear everyone. So we didn’t get much sleep. They allow people to smoke on the deck which gets inside the room. There is a room that you can apparently get snacks from but was locked the whole time. So we had to get snacks and water at dollar tree. Luckily we had an emergency and had to leave a day early. We were able to get our money back for the night we left early because someone wanted to book a room. The place looks quaint and fun but it is not. Would not stay here again.
