Scenic View Motel

The ower is a wonderful Lady and very sweet. Makes you feel welcomed. Peaceful and safe place to relax while on the road.

A hidden gem. We stayed in the apartment style room with 4 adults and 5 kids. We traveled to Bryson City on a whim to catch the winter snow storm for our kids. Miss Peggy was the sweetest host. It was incredibly affordable at the sacrifice of the fancy amenities. Although tvs were still available with all streaming apps. Extra amenities didn't matter to us, as we were there for the outdoors so this was PERFECT. The room was clean and warm, with a nice full kitchen with all cooking and dining utensils provided and two full bathrooms. This was an adorable, cabin in the mountain, style motel and we couldn't say enough nice things!

Came up to ride the polar express but hate driving back home that late so we've stayed in the past. This year we chose Scenic View Motel and we were not disappointed! Rooms were super clean and comfortable and the price was right! We will definitely be back.

This is a true hidden gem. We are lucky to happen to stop by since our other plan fell apart. Lisa and her husband, are kind and warm and provided us a warm welcome, and a clean room at a surprisingly low price even at the very last minute. We had a pleasant stay, and beautiful views and a dinner at the nice pavilion overlooking the rail road ( which we took the next day ). Our son loved the rocking chairs outside. Hope you guys thrive in the business !

The place was built in the 1950’s. It has been family owned and operated since the beginning. The current family are the second owners. Comparing it to a Hilton Garden inn or a Hampton inn wouldn’t be fair or reasonable. Definitely not new and shiny. However, it was very clean and well maintained. It reminded me of places that I used to stay at when I was a kid on my family vacations. It was a refreshing and much needed dose of the way things used to be. There aren’t many places like these left. There is a distinct unapologetic aura of an antique that brings you back to a simpler time, the good old days. It was a good feeling to patronize a place that has been locally owned and operated for approximately 70 years by hard working old school Americans. I would definitely stay there again.
