The Liberty, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Boston

We had an extremely disappointing experience at this hotel. We booked two rooms through Trip.com and fully paid in advance, yet after our stay, the hotel charged our credit cards again for the room fees, taxes, and other charges. On top of that, we had only one car parked, but the hotel wrongly charged parking fees twice under both rooms.Despite repeated follow-ups since October, it’s now December and the refund issue is still unresolved. The lack of accountability and slow response from the hotel are unacceptable, especially for a so-called five-star property. We expected much better service and professionalism.

Our favorite place to stay in Boston! Unique hotel with a great vibe! Guest service was wonderful But the highlight was Justin the bartender at the lobby bar. I’ve never seen a more efficient, professional. It was our pleasure to watch him mix 3-6 drinks at a time with ease and finesse ! Highly recommend

What a fantastic stay at the Liberty Hotel! ||Prior to my arrival, I reached out to the front desk for some good ideas on FNB and city vibes. I was greeted by Taisha who was extremely accommodating and highly knowledgeable of the property and its neighborhood. She told me where to go in the North End for pizza and what accommodations (like the aquarium) that would keep my seven-year-old son busy after a long flight from Utah. When we arrived, were greeted with friendly service from valet to front desk. This property is beautiful and I love the history behind it, the jail -like setting makes it so unique and really suits the Boston vibe! I ordered brunch from CLINK which was absolutely delicious. I will definitely be back. Thank you, Taisha for making our trip so memorable!

The ambiance of the hotel was amazing. The lounge, restaurants, magic show, and staff all get 5 stars. The room however is a different story. You can hear every little noise from the hallway and rooms next door. The alarm clock and baby next door sounded like it was in our room. The bed and pillows were very uncomfortable. I will definitely be back for a day trip to hang out in the lounge or for the restaurants, but will never spend the night again.

If the Liberty Hotel is what a 5 star hotel is like, I'll stick with 3 and 4 star hotels. I've never stayed in a 5 star hotel before, but my mom and I were visiting a family member at MGH on Thanksgiving, and I thought I would treat us, since the location was so convenient and it was a holiday. It started out pretty well - we were welcomed (by a disinterested receptionist on autopilot) with an offer of a glass of prosecco, and when we asked about dining options, he informed us we could eat at the restaurant across the lobby. We dropped our luggage in our room and returned to the lobby for dinner. However, the restaurant host said she couldn't seat us, but we could get the same menu in the bar area. I guess the restaurant and front desk don't communicate despite being a few yards away. We w
