The Lakehomes at Superior Shores

Beautiful place to stay on the North Shore. I went with family for a weekend getaway and it was the perfect spot. You could see the lake from the living room, it is close enough to town to be convenient but far enough out to be quiet/peaceful, and we had everything we needed. We are already talking about making it an annual thing to stay here.

Overall, this was a nice place to stay on our recent family trip. We booked the Lake home that had 2 bedrooms with Queen beds, Loft with Queen bed, Bedroom with two twin beds. With 8 adults and one child, this was the perfect size for our family trip. It had beautiful views of the lake and was a quiet and relaxing retreat. The space could use a little updating/maintenance here and there. The biggest issues we experienced were large fluctuations in water temperature, and the beds are too firm for our taste. But other than that, it was absolutely lovely! The living room space was very comfortable, and the open concept between the living room and kitchen was great for our family. The resort was easy to locate and had great amenities (indoor/outdoor pool, beach, firepit areas on the beach, and bikes). We stayed in one of their three bedroom and two bath lakehomes. They were furnished with a full kitchen of pots, pans, utensils, and kitchenware. Had a small deck off the back of the cabin, but only view we had were of the trees.... Lake Superior is about 50 to 100 feet from the deck. Bummed that the view was taken up by all the trees. The rooms were nice. However, one of the rooms was a loft and had no privacy. To get to the third bedroom, you had to walk in/by the lofted room (no wall) and up a set of stairs to third room. I have been coming up to superior shores since I was 2 years old. It’s a beautiful resort and well taken care of. The staff are very friendly and help with all of our needs. Example: We forgot our pump for our kayak and the maintenance took 45 minutes to help us find an air pump to pump up our kayak. Love taking a week off of life every year to enjoy the lake and the hiking trails. 10/10 would recommend making this a family tradition.
