Bob's Cabins On Lake Superior

We enjoyed five nights in September in cabin 4. We loved the proximity to Lake Superior, and spent a lot of time watching for boats and looking for rocks on the shore. We recommend bringing binoculars so you can identify the freighters that go by frequently. The owners are very approachable and make everyone feel welcome. There are many things available for guests to use, including a library of books, indoor and outdoor games, puzzles, bikes, and kayaks. Everything is on a trust basis … use it and return it. It was a great experience and we would love to come back!

Best place to stay on the North Shore. The cabins are cozy and adorable. No phones, no TV, just the sounds of the waves to lull you into your best. sleep. ever. If you love nature, campfires, going to all the great spots along the Shore, or doing absolutely nothing, you need to try Bob's Cabins on Lake Superior.

My husband and I celebrated our anniversary in one of Bob's quaint cabins. We had everything we needed. The amenities and policies certainly enhanced our stay. I appreciate the water conservation suggestions! Falling asleep with the sound of the waves is the BEST! Thank you for such a peaceful and quiet environment.

I stayed here years ago when I was a teen with my folks. Had been wanting to bring my husband here for a long time because of the simplicity of the cabins and the place in general. I was very happy to see not much has changed. Nice and basic. Nothing fancy and that's the way we like it! We stayed at cabin 14. A one room cabin right next to some stairs down to the water. Watching the waves every night while relaxing on the little deck... could do that everyday. And listening to the waves when heading to bed... perfect. Highly recommend Bob's Cabins if you're looking for the simple side of a getaway!

We just returned home from a week of peace and quiet. No TV, internet or telephone, quiet after 2130, BEAUTIFUL view. Just what we needed to unplug. Our hosts met us and then we didn’t see them unless we needed something although they were around and present. Very friendly. Our cabin was immaculate and comfortable. We are already returning in September for a long weekend. What a wonderful place. Paradise on the North Shore! I don’t usually do reviews but Bobs’s Cabins is truly paradise!! Jerome and Kari Neumann
