The George Hotel

My husband and I stayed Valentines weekend at The George (2-13-15, 2026). We have stayed here many times since their opening 2 years ago. The staff, service, quality of hotel is amazing. Easy to walk & shop and restaurants. We had dinner at The Independent and Samantha was a delightful server. The food was very delicious. Preston at front desk was quite a gentleman and helpful and very friendly. We also did The Independent Brunch before we left on Sunday and it was delicious and beautifully delivered. We will be back!

Gorgeous hotel! My husband surprised me with a weekend at The George. Beautifully decorated. I absolutely loved every inch of this quaint place.||We were immediately greeted by the front desk receptionist, Preston, who was so accommodating and made sure we knew where everything was and that we had everything we needed. We immediately went to Eliza’s and had a drink by the river. Even the little bar was beautiful. Ate dinner one night at The Independent and Samantha gave great service and the food was delicious!||I highly recommend but have a big suggestion…bring your own pillow!!!! For a hotel this nice, I could not believe how horrible and hard the pillows were! Otherwise, a fantastic stay!

Just an overall outstanding experience. We stayed two nights just to get away, and it was the best choice. We hung out in our gorgeous water facing room, and enjoyed the balcony and it's views. It was cozy and romantic, and creatively and tastefully decorated. The Independent restaurant on the ground floor is delicious and special as well. The service and concierge gentlemen were top tier and very welcoming. We will be back. We've found a new favorite quick getaway location, for sure!

My husband and I stayed at the George in January. What a great stay we had! The hotel is lovely and so clean, easy parking on Front Street, great staff. We dined at the Independent, the restaurant at the George. Wonderful atmosphere and food. Our waiter, Sean, was personable and made good suggestions. Definitely put this hotel on your radar.

This was our third time staying at The George and it was just as wonderful as our first two visits. The whole hotel is stunning and our room matched! Everything was very clean and just gorgeous! Our server, Taylor, at The Independent went above and beyond with service and made the birthday we were celebrating extra special! We came by boat and were able to text with the front desk and Preston was kind enough to call ahead to the marina for us which was so so appreciated! Can’t wait for our next stay at The George!
