Hidden Marina & Campground

Just spent almost 2 weeks here as a layover. We just needed someplace quiet and this place checked that box for us. The road back to the campground is very rough. The management style seems very simple..no map, no rules, no problems! There are, what look to be, long term camp spots. We were on a site with a great view of the marina under the beautiful oaks. There is a small pool. Looked decent enough. Looks like owner is working on improvements in electric boxes and sites. Georgetown is very close and has a nice quiet historical district with shops, food and museums.

We stayed for a month in February 2025: There is no campground map to confirm this, but there are likely about 60 total sites with maybe about 20 designated for transients. The rest are all seasonal. However, they were adding RV and cabin sites while we were there. We were placed in Site #9 "Down Front". There are (6) back-in sites in this row just behind the cabins. The sites are compacted road base, not very level but okay. There were some big trees all around us, but it was not affecting too us much. We had a nice but limited view of the river in between the cabins. The FHU's were good, and the power was fine. We had a 50Amp plug only, no circuit breaker & no 30A or 15A receptacles. Hubby and I stayed over Thanksgiving weekend, very peaceful, very clean, spacious lot size, and owners/staff very helpful. They were kind enough to give us the gate code and exact location of our space as we were arriving on Thanksgiving and no one would be at the office. Everything went smooth. They even checked on us with a text Thanksgiving. Definitely will return we love Georgetown and all the shops. They have a beautiful pool too cold this time of the year.

I love this campground so much I love it here and the owner is my dad and I love him so much but this is the best place to go camping in Georgetown South Carolina!!!!!

This place is quite and clean. The sunsets were amazing. The staff is friendly and helpful! The salt water pool was one of our favorite spots, not to mention the docks for fishing and watching the sunset. There are 4 bald eagles that live near there. We would definitely go back. It is off the beaten path, but very close to stores.
