Hampton Inn Georgetown-Marina

I stayed at this property over the Christmas holidays and it was a nice stay. I was first greeted by Marvette who was super friendly. She acknowledged me as a Hilton member (which doesn't always happen at check-in) and explained everything to me. The front desk manager was nice as well and they did everything possible to make a Christmas stay comfortable. Breakfast was adequate, rooms were spacious. There is a pool but it was too cold to use. The hotel is minutes from downtown and the views from the hotel of the marina are very nice. Overall it was a good stay and I would stay here again.

Positive: That it had a breakfast, pool and business room. Negative: There is no change machine in the laundry room. The washer and dryer only take quarters ($6 combined for one load) front desk clerk and wouldn’t make change for $6 from a $10 roll, asked me to go to gas station. The gas station wouldn’t do it so I drove

Rooms at first glance appear remodeled but the closer you look it appears to have been done many years ago and showing it age. The view from the window would have been nice but the windows are completely nasty and distracting from the view. Hallway carpets seems old and unkept along with half eaten chicken fingers on them. The Hampton Inn free cookies appears to be locked up and not free as you would normally find at other Hampton Inn. In short rooms seem to lack up keep, services are like free cookies are not readily available, and the location is not super convenient to quick food. This is not the worst Hampton Inn I have stayed in.

This may be one of the best experiences I've had at a hotel front desk; Janine was great! I booked a 2Q room with points, planning to get a cot for my adult son. But I inquired about a guaranteed Gold upgrade and Janine made it happen. This has rarely worked out for me, even as a Gold member who travels regularly, so I was thrilled. We had plenty of room for the 4 of us in the 1 bedroom suite. Janine was friendly and helpful at every turn - give her the raise she deserves! We also enjoyed breakfast, a stroll on the marina pier and another stroll to the historic Harborwalk downtown for dinner.Georgetown is a lovely little place; it was a nice start to our trip visiting Pawleys Island. We enjoyed our time here thoroughly.

Every agent that I've encountered on the 3-11 shifts are extremely professional and courteous! They are all amazing!!
