Myrtle Grove RV & Marina Resort

I love this place! The new owners, who have only been here for six months, have already made great improvements. They've installed WiFi, upgraded the electrical systems, and improved the boat slips. Yes, the entrance road is rough. However, it's a 3/4-mile private road, and the owners have a plan to address it. A full repave could easily cost over a million dollars, which would dramatically raise site fees. The campground is extremely safe—it's gated, fenced, and set back a mile from the main road. While there are some workers staying here due to local projects, noise is minimal. Most nights are quiet by 8 PM, and there's a strict 10 PM music curfew. The marina is wonderful, and there's a nice swimming pool. If you're looking for extensive amenities, you might prefer a resort in Myrtle

Stayed here for a couple days a few weeks back and I have to say it’s not the best. As an experienced camper I expected them to have fire pits and picnic tables like every other place. The bathrooms are small and I’m not sure if someone kept smoking in the bathrooms or the hallway to the bathrooms or if the maintenance guy is smoking in the garage/barn part. Either way I find that very disrespectful because no one wants to smell like cigarette smoke. Since they have only 3 bathrooms(1 men, 1 women, 1unisex at the club house) you’re constantly waiting for someone to use the bathroom. Which multiple times while waiting a guy always ended up coming out of the women’s bathroom. Also I’m not sure if they don’t believe in soap because neither of the 3 bathrooms have hand soap.

Where do I even begin. This seems to be a few people who watched a YouTube video or listened to a podcast saying that buying a campground is a great way to get rich through passive income. That couldn't be further from the truth. Starting off you'll probably break a leaf spring on the almost mile long driveway that is rougher than a washboard. That should have been the first thing they fixed. Next with the new owners there is no contract or set of rules. I complained multiple times about the park stinking of marijuana and people parking on my site and they did nothing. I never once received a receipt of payment.
