Baymont by Wyndham Georgetown/Near Georgetown Marina

so for three years straight my mom and i were running from hotel to hotel… this one was very convient and good because it was close to my school. there were bugs but not too bad and the water was good and hot. its georgetown, so me saying this is pretty loosely based, but it was safe for me to hang outside constantly, sometimes even at 12:30am and later. i have a lot of good memories here and the service was good too. i recommend staying definitely!

We were in town for a work trip. I had a 13 week old puppy so we choose this location because it was pet friendly even tho our team was next door at quality. When I checked in the lady wanted to make a copy of my drivers license and credit card. It was a little odd to know I would have my credit card floating around on paper. Thank goodness her copier didn’t work. I was in a lower level room in the back building and it was disgusting. The room smelled, the linens were strained and the door barely shut. I had to lift the door ti get it to lock. There were stains all over the walls and the mattress cover. Secondly I was alone most of the two days and I never felt safe. There was no where to let the dog pee that didn’t have trash and needles on the ground. There was a constant smell of weed

If I could give this hotel a negative review I definitely would. We stayed here for a couple weeks paying each morning. 1.) it says they have a pool they DO NOT. 2.) they would not honor our rewards pricing telling us we had to book through the app that’s a major lie I have done called customer care and they are taking care of the money we was over charged. 3.) we had pets each morning it would be a different amount for the dogs some days $15, $20 then they tried charging us $25. 4.) we would ask for new towels and sheets they would not bring us none we actually had to go buy our own. 5.) the entire time we was there we did not get room service one time even when we would request it.

It’s a place to sleep… I booked last minute through Hopper without reading any reviews. The front desk staff were all friendly. BUT the room was disgusting. Every “clean” towel was damp, stains on the furniture, the curtain wasn’t even connected to the stick to close it, and the door wasn’t in the frame correctly. Even though I dead bolted and locked the bar, I still did not feel completely safe, so I was looking up tricks on how to make your hotel door more secure. Also, the TV turned on but none of the channels worked. They were frozen in the same position both at night and the next morning. Never again. It’s not worth it, just spend the extra money on a better, cleaner, safer place.

Not worth the stay when there is a better hotel right across the street. Our room was clean, and the bed was acceptably nice...and that's it. It was clearly past due for modernization, with shabby maintenance. The vent in the bathroom ceiling didn't work, and there was mold around it. The sink was missing the plug in the drain, and if you looked under the sink, whoever fixed it last did a very amateur job and used flexible plumbing...which still leaked all over the floor under the sink. The office crew was pleasant enough to work with, but they made a pretty unfortunate mistake where our room keys were apparently only set to work for one night of our two night stay. If no one happened to be working when we got back the second evening, we would have been locked out of our room. The parking
