The Federal Inn - boutique bed & breakfast

Fabulous find! 1st post retirement trip and we stayed 2 nights. The Inn is charming as is Katie, the innkeeper. Comfy bed, wonderful linens, delicious breakfast. I would give more than 5 stars if I could!!!!

The Federal Inn is truly a special place with a gifted and down-to-earth host. The thought that Innkeeper Kate puts into every aspect of the guest experience is evident, from the decor to the breakfast menu to the fresh-baked cookies waiting in your room. If you care about design aesthetics, fresh and nutritious dining, and enjoying the company of your traveling companion (vs. watching TV), you'll simply love it here. Only a few minutes' drive from downtown Toledo, but also within walking distance of downtown Maumee.

Oh my goodness, I cannot wait to go back. I need to find an excuse to go to Maumee, but have limited reasons, maybe just to stay in one of the sweetest B&B's. Host is delightful, amazing, interesting, and energetic. She has a knack for detail, art, interior decorating and gab. She is an amzing chef and makes the most delicious breakfast (a vegan quiche, who knew???). Kudos for a one-woman show that is so very well done.

Our stay at the Federal Inn was an incredible experience. From the eclectically curated interior design of the house, to the gourmet snacks and breakfast, we couldn’t wait to see what came next during our stay! The breakfast was one of the best we have ever had. The house is nestled in a beautiful and safe neighborhood. The rooms and bathrooms are very clean. What really made our stay over the top was the passion Katie has for creating an amazing experience for all of her guests. We would highly recommend the Federal Inn for anyone traveling to the greater Toledo area. We are looking for an excuse to go back.

Federal Inn was delightful. It was clean and we loved learning the history of the home. Katie was very accommodating and kind. We enjoyed our conversation. Katie has done an excellent job of decorating the home. The breakfast was fabulous and Katie’s chocolate chip cookies are the best I have ever had. We loved the fact that we could walk downtown to eat dinner at the local restaurants. The town is quite charming as well. Flower gardens were all in bloom and beautiful. We will return!
