Super 8 Maumee/Toledo, OH

Nice mid-range motel (I often travel Super 8, many are being renovated, including this location.) Breakfast is still semi-minimal, but that will be changing. Negative was the ice machine that wasn't working. The positive was Toi at the front desk, who helped me wheel my suitcase down to my room, which allowed me to handle my Walker and complaining knees and back a lot easier. Then there were 2 friendly ladies who came down to help me work out the unfamiliar TV. The room was extremely clean, with a working microwave and refrigerator. The location was a little weird to find coming from the Toledo Zoo, but turned out to be close to restaurants, gas stations, stores, and easy access to the Ohio Turnpike.

Always clean and nice to stay here, always clean and nice staff. Highly recommend. Right off the expressway, near many fast foods and restaurants

Missy on second shift was amazing at helping us settle into our rooms and whatever we needed for our room. Also they lady on first shift was very helpful too but I forgot her name

State of the room was unclean. I cannot recommend. Aside from all the mold (allergic to mold and it is a mycotoxin), walking from the shower to the bed to put on socks my feet were black. I told the lady at the front desk and she responded that figures the one room that wasn’t spot checked is the one that needed recleaned. I said that the fact that there was mold along the waterline in the toilet means that the toilet hasn’t been cleaned at all anytime recently. I did not feel that management really cared much about the issues. Begrudgingly offered any different room but was told it would probably have the same problems. They offered to come spray a vinegar and bleach mixture while we were out but I have a sensitivity to chemicals. Also vending machines were practically empty and the stuff

This motel has changed ownership and that's a terrible thing. Used to be a good place but new staff are worthless and very rude! I've stayed there many times and gave great reviews but no longer will use this place
