Best Western Toledo South Maumee

Nice hotel! my room was super clean inside and out. The staff at the front desk are super friendly. 24 hour Free Coffee and Tea at the front lobby, They also have a really big heated pool along with a free breakfast in the morning. The rooms are super quiet, LIGHTNING fast WiFi!!! large selection of channels on tv. I'd definitely stay here again and highly recommend.

Al, who was at the front desk when we checked in was amazing! His customer service skills are second to none and he deserves a raise. We booked on Priceline and did not know about the $80 deposit. Al went into action and lowered our deposit to $40! The continental breakfast was great! It includes a waffle maker, where you make your own waffle, eggs, sausage, hashbrowns, apple juice, or orange juice, and of course, cereal. They also have yogurt. I highly recommend this hotel! It was perfect for what we needed, which was just a place to sleep and rest before the trip back home.

When I travel to Ohio, sometimes I stay here because I love their pool. It's a salt water pool, super clean and deep enough to really swim, and the wood decor around the pool is lovely. The temperature is also usually perfect. Other than that, I find this place extremely frustrating. They act like asking for one extra hour to check out is a MAJOR deal and insist on charging for even a slightly late checkout. The lobby only has gross coffee and the cheapest tea bags, and the breakfast is limited. What is REALLY annoying is the televisions though. Each room seems to be on a different system--some of the TVs get HBO, some don't, and none of the TVs are possible to figure out in terms of which channel is which. Major channels aren't available; in my room this time, fully half the channels said

Positive: Room was relatively clean. Beds were comfortable. Accepted a pet. Negative: Halls and elevator were filthy. Ice machines all broken. Vending machines completely empty, no way to get or make a cold drink. Water dispenser in lobby had limes in it that looked old and rotting. Elevator felt and sounded absolutely dangerous.

My recent stay at the Best Western in Maumee was highly disappointing and far below the standards expected of this hotel brand. The property itself is in noticeable disrepair. There were visible cracks in the molding and flooring, and we observed bugs near the windows—issues that raise significant concerns about cleanliness and proper maintenance. While the bed was neatly made upon arrival, we noticed a visible stain on the bed skirt, which further contributed to an overall sense of poor housekeeping standards. Despite requesting that our room be fully cleaned on our second day, no housekeeping services were provided.
