The Driftwood Motel Restaurant & Sports Bar

We needed a place for one night on our way further north. We found the Driftwood to be just what we needed! A place to eat, drink & be merry! Didn't have to drive to find a meal. They had an awesome steak special that we enjoyed for dinner. We had a one (comfortable) queen bedroom with plenty of room for the two of us with large closet area, a coffee pot and fridge, large bathroom with shampoo, conditioner and body soap (if needed). The room was immaculate. Lunch the next day was very good as well. Took pics even though we'd started eating whitefish and tatertot appetizers! We found our one night to be inviting, comfortable with a down home feel. Employees were top notch! We'd come back for sure.

Came in for dinner tonight and ordered the HAM steak dinner, the waitress brought me county fried steak. When I said it wasn't what I ordered she said "oh, did you want the grilled one? There's one grilled and one fried. They're basically the same." News flash, they are not the same at all 🙄 different meats completely! Different gravy completely! She wouldn't hear me, she did offer to switch it out for the grilled one, but i was more irritated with her arguing with me.

We were seated immediately, but the wait for our server was pretty long. We finally had to ask someone to find her. Once she got to us, she was great. The food was average at best. My cheeseburger was very overcooked, no garnishments at all. My husband said his whitefish meal was great.

I visited with my husband and another couple over the summer. We absolutely loved the Driftwood. Convenient to shops and the ferry, which was directly across the street. The restaurant food was very good and reasonably priced. The rooms were quite clean and the staff friendly. Also dog-friendly, which was a plus for us as our friends brought their two pups. Would definitely stay again!

Room was dated and smelled, but clean. I was stranded overnight on a Sunday with car trouble. I had my car towed to a garage and booked a room at the Driftwood, was convenient that they had a bar/restaurant despite two employees getting into a fight in the restaurant. But Monday morning I called the front desk and asked for a late checkout considering my car wouldn't be ready till 12, which I explained to the lady at the front desk. She said they don't offer late checkout but I could book the room for another night. All I needed was an extra hour, and I was the only customer there. Not likely to stay there again if I'm ever back in town.
