Sunset Motel

We travel a lot and stay at many Hotels. This was a fabulous little motel off HWY 2. I first have to start off by saying how beautiful the outside was (we stayed in summer). There were beautiful baskets of flowers everywhere you look. It was breathtaking. The staff members were extremely friendly as well. We stayed in a two room (queen beds). It was extremely clean, spacious and modern looking. We would diffidently stay here again in the future and would recommend to others if they are traveling this way.

We traveled from South Carolina to tour the upper peninsula last month (September 2025) for a week. We stayed at the Sunset Motel the first two nights. It was the best place we stayed the whole week and a whole lot less expensive. The Horns were great hosts, the room was extremely nice and clean, and the flowers were fantastic. Very helpful staff on our questions of the area. A clean, quaint place to stay. Beds were very comfortable. They have a lot of beautiful potted flowers around the grounds and also a beautiful landscape of flowers. Close to places to eat and the drive to attractions. Would definitely stay there again!

Beautiful place, great groundskeeping with lots of flowers. Rooms are always kleenex and nicely decorated. Plenty of hot water and very good pressure foe an Enjoyable shower. Nice restaurant next door. All said this is out third stay with Sunset Motel.👍👍👍
