Firehouse Inn

~We had checked in to another “pet friendly” location in the area with our two small “redheads”; Cavalier King Charles spaniels, Ruby Sue and Minnie Pearl. (With their crates, of course). It was awful, rude, filthy-dirty and, after the surprise fees we were moving out in less than three hours.~ ***Stephanie was available and welcoming and at 9:00 at night she let us haul it all down the road and move into a cozy little cabin. #35, to be exact. But not before actually taking the time to show us our options and let us choose our accommodations. At 9:00 at night. ***CLEAN!!!*** This place is clean. Which is more important than anything else. Adorable motel with firehouse theme. Excellent location. Very friendly staff. Within walking distance to many things. Quiet rooms. We really liked it here and would definitely stay again. No breakfast would be the only downside. But many places close by to walk to.

The rooms were better than I expected from older pictures. We had room 10 in the motel. The floors were laminate not carpet. The tub/shower looked new. The shower had great pressure and plenty of hot water. There is a microwave and a small fridge. Some would say the furniture is outdated but I love the vintage look. The air worked well. The room was very clean and that's the most important thing for me. I read in a previous review that there wasn't an outlet in the bathroom so I brought a small extension cord to use my curling iron in the bathroom, I didn't need it because there is a mirror with outlets in the bedroom. Sheets and comforters looked new. Plenty of places to walk to and I felt very safe. Dogs are allowed with permission from the owners first. I met one of the owners and she

STAY HERE! Firehouse Inn is a gem. Immaculate, rustic rooms are on the small side but the person who runs this place loves it and her customers, and it shows in the care she takes in keeping it up. The bed was heaven. Price is great. I am sick to death of the bigger places all along the St. Ignace strip that have gotten so overpriced and are not cleaned well that I am turned off by them. Kudos to the manager of the Firehouse Inn!
