Dune Shores Resort

Wow, what an amazing place. It’s like a home away from home. The staff made it easy to settle in and the food at the lodge was great. We will be returning for our annual vacation next year.

This place is wonderful. From the friendly owners and staff to the lodging and the views on the northern shore of Lake Michigan. A great place to disconnect and reconnect with nature and a peaceful simple time of the past. Enjoyed the sunset from our chairs on the beach, delicious ice cream, and bought a fantastic breakfast that included homemade Hungarian breakfast sausage and bread. We will definitely visit again. I'm one of the people who had passed by this location often, and always wondered what it would be like to stay here. I loved it! I will caution that the rooms are older, and do not have air conditioning or heating, but fan and space heater was provided, and a nice breeze was rolling in from the lake so it was still comfortable. The room was clean and cute, and I was surprised to see it come with a full kitchen and fridge, which made me wonder what a longer stay where I could cook would be like! The location is right across the road from a beautiful beach so you can just go have a full beach day from your front door. The breakfast was AMAZING, please get the homemade sausage. Bring cash!

Didn’t stay at this place but stopped in, dined in, & enjoyed a some good pasties w/gravy for lunch! A cute, quaint little spot is right on lake Mi with sand dunes all around. Definitely recommend a visit! It’s been in the family for many yrs!!!

We stopped in at 9pm for ice cream (an hour before closing), and had a wonderful experience. We were helped by Doug and had the best ice cream we have had in Michigan surrounded by beautiful shore scenery. Doug specifically went out of his way to make sure we left with an amazing experience and we had just that. Small town Americana vibes are being lived to the fullest on the shores of Lake Michigan at the Dune Shores Resort.
