The Drift Hotel

Please, please, please don't book at this, or any other hotel, with such a horrible cancellation policy! It's been years since I've had to cancel a reservation, but I couldn't go on this trip and tried to cancel 2 weeks before my check-in. The hotel policy is ZERO refund at that point. I reached out to them directly and also hotels.com to see if I could get a credit, or only pay a portion of the stay, both of them refused. Now I'm out almost $1500 for a trip I can't take. This is just pure greed for hotels like this, and I will never even consider another hotel that doesn't offer the standard cancellation policy of 24 hours before check-in that has been in place for my entire adult life. Love this place so much! We visited in June with a small dog. Everything worked out beautifully. The place is well managed and tastefully decorated. Everything was so thoughtfully placed from appliances to beach equipment to cleaning products. It made our visit so convenient and comfortable we hesitate to stay anywhere else. Comfortable beds. Everything super clean and really exceptional responsive management.

DO NOT STAY HERE. MAJOR SAFETY CONCERN - Unsecured Property & Poor Management. We are extremely disappointed and shaken by our experience here. We ensured the door was securely locked when we left for the day, only to return in the evening to find the front door was ajar. When I contacted property management, they were unhelpful. Instead of addressing the faulty lock or the security breach, they repeatedly insisted it was 'user error' and refused to take any responsibility. It is terrifying to return to a hotel with an open door and then be blamed for a mechanical issue they refuse to fix. They offered no immediate solution and no refund, leaving us feeling unsafe and stranded. We end up booking another hotel at the last minute. Beautiful bungalow. Very clean. Recently renovated. 5 min walk to beach. New beach chairs and umbrellas and wagons. We left 2 new boogie boards to add to the 2 that were there. 5min to beach. Part of walk is on shoulder of (sometime) busy road. No lifeguard. Air conditioning works great - if you leave the BR doors open. We didn’t cook but the kitchen looks well stocked. We had great weather. Hot but breezy. Cushions come off the back of the couch for an additional living room sleeping space. Bed topper available for a softer feel. Plenty of towels, sheets, and beach towels. Highly recommended for 4-5 people. ❤️

We were absolutely delighted with our unit. It was squeaky clean, beautifully furnished and decorated. The bed was very comfortable and it was a short walk to the beach and to restaurants. There is a nearby Publix for groceries if you need to stock the immaculate kitchen. The host office was very responsive to all of our questions and needs.
