Surf Studio Beach Resort

We've been going to Surf Studio for 25 years. About a year ago everything changed. Management may have changed, I don't know, but it is awful. The rooms are very unkept. You will not want to walk on the floor with bare feet, or touch anything in the bathroom. Use shoes in the showers. It's so gross. The bedroom has filthy carpet; the beds, linens, and towels are ragged and stained. The staff is either never there or treat you like you are trespassing. There are so many great places on Cocoa these days. This place has run its course and is way over priced.

I hesitate to do a review on surf studio because it is such a wonderful place and it is already so hard to book that I don't want to increase our competition for getting a room. However, if I did that it would be an injustice to Greg, the owner and the staff who are absolutely amazing and have created a small Paradise. If you are not a friendly nice person, please don't come. But if you're someone who appreciates meeting people and experiencing a wonderful atmosphere, you're welcome. My family and I have been to surf studio four times this year. It is always well maintained and improved. The owner makes a point of constantly upgrading cookware and beds and everything else in order to create the optimal environment. This was a perfect place to stay! We don't care for the big, busy resorts. This is a small, family owned place that is old, but very well kept, and with a wonderful history. The room was very clean and stocked with anything you would need. The staff was so very helpful! The deck has a fantastic view and you are only steps from the beach. The pool is clean with plenty of seating. If we are back in the area, we definitely will be back.

This was a fantastic place to stay, and I will definitely stay here again when I’m in the area. The manager was super nice. It’s wonderfully dog-friendly. The private beach and the grounds are so pretty and relaxing. I loved my room. Very comfortable and nicely decorated. I also got the unexpected pleasure of witnessing a Space X night launch from Cape Canaveral which is only miles away.

Not safe for families with young children & DO NOT GO HERE IF TOU HAVE A DISABILITY/medical condition. Went here with my family and service dog. The heat was unbearable one day and I did not feel that it was safe to have my dog outside (I felt comfortable without him for a short time since I was with adult family members). The manager came to me and tried to “school” me on my disability and service dog and stated that if I don’t keep him with me , I have to pay the pet fee. I immediately packed up my family and went to another location. During our first night there, several drunk people on the property and smoking marijuana non of which manager addressed
