Customer Reviews
I feel compelled to share what has been one of the most distressing and surreal experiences I have ever had with a hotel. I stayed at Club Donatello for a single night on November 2025, fully expecting the same excellent service I had previously enjoyed. I had actually recommended this hotel many times over the years — something I never thought I would regret. Sadly, what happened after this stay has been nothing short of traumatic. Shortly after checking out, I was notified — not asked, not consulted, simply notified — that the hotel was charging my credit card $895 for a supposedly “broken mirror” discovered in the room after I left. The charge included the alleged replacement of an entire closet door plus a night of “out-of-order” fees. I was shocked, because I did not damage anythin
One of the best hotels in SanFran I've stayed at. Don't be swayed by the outside, it's not a reflection of the inside. Very large rooms, clean and exquisite. Very helpful staff.
Excellent place to stay in San Francisco. Very central to where we needed to be. Very helpful staff and excellent service. No breakfast but plenty of options around the area.
Deceptive…Claimed to be a resort. The staff is amazing. The hotel is extremely clean and well maintained. The amenities are an exercise room with weights and treadmill kind of stuff, hot tub, saunas and shower area. The game room had a pool table, foosball video game and TV. The robes were rough and one size fit all. So mine was uncomfortable to wear. There is no kitchen. You have a mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker. They give you 2 bottles of water and clean your as requested. You have a sitting area No activities except wine and appetizers for 5 bucks 2 or 3 times a week. Definitely should not be listed as a resort. It great place to stay for a night or two. They do have a restaurant on premise as well.
Stayed there from July 12 to 14, room 1219. The hotel is very clean, smells good, and there is attention to detail. Our room was very nice, big, clean with a nice view of the neighborhood. The top floor has a place to chill and have free coffee. Garage valet available but expensive, about 50 $ a day. Things I disliked were no good shampoo and shower lotion provided, and also, to my big surprise, there was no breakfast there. Overall, it was a good stay, and I might come back.
