The Clift Royal Sonesta San Francisco

Great location. It's an older building with fitting characteristics and charm. Price was good. If you like places with character that aren't cookie cutter hotels, then this is a great place. Also the bar downstairs was fantastic. Great food and drinks, great vibe. Cons would be the noise bleeds into the room from the hallway. I couldn't or didn't hear anything from adjacent rooms but I definitely could hear people when passing by.

We checked in for 2 nights after a cruise. Check in was a very pleasant experience. Barb at the front desk was very pleasant and professional to deal with. She made us feel very welcome. In fact all the front desk staff we dealt with over the 2 day stay were very nice and welcoming. The room was exceptional. Very nicely laid out, and very clean. No issues with the room whatsoever. The restaurant for breakfast had very good food and service, albeit a little on the pricey side.

Wonderful experience. Comfy bed, great shower with good water pressure. Oddly, we were cold in the room when the thermostat was at 65. Usually, hotels run too warm. But it was nice to be able to snuggle up! Better too cold than too hot. Super smooth and crisp sheets. Friendly front desk staff. Huge room (upgraded king room). Nice way to spend a couple nights in downtown SF to take advantage of the Christmas decorations/events. Thanks!

One of the best hotels we ever stayed! Everyone but really everyone was so kind, welcoming, friendly and helpful. It made our stay memorable. The rooms (got two different rooms) were specious, clean and comfortable-bed was very comfortable. Having a mini fridge and Keurig coffee is also nice. Got two bottles of water everyday. Rooms were quiet too. Location is great! If we ever go to SF we will definitely be back.

Positive: "" Negative: Our room was gloomy and dark, no views. 3rd floor, Windows on the other wall, not recommended. But the location is excellent, the gym was great and Staff very friendly and helpful.
