The Central Downtown Inn & Suites

I had a great stay! The room was big, clean, and had everything I needed, including a kitchen. The staff were very helpful — they quickly changed the bedsheets when I noticed a stain. The location is perfect, close to shops, restaurants, and things to do in downtown Pittsfield. Free parking and WiFi made everything even easier. I would love to stay here again!

We have just spent two hours trying to change the dates of our reservation, which we made through Expedia. We finally got Expedia to make several long phone call to Central Downtown, asking them to waive the penalty fees, but the management at Central Downtown would not do it. We are now being charged for 3 nights which are useless to us because we cannot be there. There was no flexibility, no give and take and told "because of the "system", we can not make any changes." We have stayed here several times but I would no longer recommend this hotel to anyone. We are out several hundred dollars, paying for a room which we cannot use. Positive: Friendly staff. Spacious room at a good price. Great location. Negative: There was some trash on the floor in the bedroom area. Looks like they used disinfectant wipes and left them on the floor.

WARNING! FRAUD ALERT! READ all of the reviews similar to mine. This is their standard operating procedure, book a room well in advance, and then cancel at the last minute due to "electrical problems", etc. This place is a scam. We booked a room months ago, at a rate of $180. A week before are arrival date, they cancelled the room, saying they were having some electrical problems. Electrical problems that could not be fixed in a week? We had to pay hundreds of dollars more for a room in the area due to the last minute booking. I am sure our room with the "electrical problems" was booked for hundreds more than $180. I will be pushing all of the third party booking site remove this property from their sites. If they don't, they are as dishonest as the criminals that run this place.

I stayed in 304 for 3 consecutive nights. The second night, my 🐕‍🦺 woke me up for me to take her outside. When i returned to my room at 3:30, i tried the door code and it did not work. So i texted about the issue immediately. No response. I decided to walk around and wait for my message to be seen. I ended up getting no sleep except for about 25 minutes on a stone bench at a nearby park. Then, i went in the laundry room and did my laundry until help arrived around 9:30 am. No explaination was given, and no apology was given. On the contrary, he kept just trying to make the whole situation my fault! “You should have called”. I reminded him that the issue at hand is because i was locked out of the room i payed for 1/3 nights! I got not sleep, was cold and miserable. The fact that i was kind
