Bonnie Brae Campground

Magical Fall campground to use as a base to explore the Berkshires. Close to everything. Owner Dan is a treasure. Campground is different than the water-oriented sites we usually choose. Lots of cabins with guests that return yearly, sites are close together and area is heavily treed, so no Starlink. Yet the free park wifi was adequate for work and television. Property is like attending summer camp, nestled into a neighborhood, within walking distance of scenic walk at Pontoosuc Lake. We were visiting family during our 10 night trip, so we came and went. Felt safe at all hours. We are 32’ with a toad – internal roads are tight, requiring care with bigger rigs. Not used: Nice pool and plenty of child-friendly spaces, but in October, there were no children.

If you are reading this, chances are that you're planning a trip to explore the Berkshires - the art, culture, history, outdoor activities, etc. You probably aren't planning on sitting at a campsite the whole time. If this describes you, then you've found the perfect place to stay. This is a clean, quiet place to stay after a day's adventures. The owner Dan is wonderful host and the overall vibe of the campground is neighborly. It's convenient to hiking, biking, golfing and kayaking plus downtown Pittsfield for urban exploring and shopping and dining. It's also convenient to Tanglewood and numerous museums and galleries. So if you're driving to the Berkshires to explore this awesome area, we highly recommend Bonnie Brae!

We stayed here 2 nights in the fall 2025. It was nice, but we didn't use any of the facilities, just stayed in our RV as I was sick with the flu. It was as a quiet place, spots were adequately spread out and level enough. We enjoyed our stay here.

I tent camped at Bonnie Brae for an evening Tanglewood performance. Although I was only there for one night, I found the campground to be very clean and well kept, quiet, and clean. They have an amazing pool and their baths and showers were more than adequate and CLEAN. They are presently undergoing some updates in the baths/showers, too. Unexpectedly, even my tent site had power access. The fire pit was well done and again, clean and ready to go. Although I didn't need to use these, I was pleasantly surprised to see they have coin-op laundry services available, which would be a huge benefit if one were to be there for a long stay. They also have very nice cabins for rent if tenting is not an option for you. It is right down the street from free parking beach access to Pontussuc Lake. Ve

This is our second year at Bonnie Brae. Dan is an amazing host and has been super attentive both this year and last year. The setting is peaceful but close enough to town that we could check out a couple of breweries. Sites are clean & comfortable and we had a great time decorating for Halloween. We’ll definitely be back next year!!
