Best Western Plus Berkshire Hills Inn & Suites

We've been dedicated guests here numerous times over many years. Great location in Pittsfield. Under new management this year. New Operations Manager was kind and attentive. Too early to fairly rate the reception staff. All former staff have left. There were some concerns- growing pains. Hardworking women kept breakfast area clean and food hot. Still have issue with dogs allowed in common areas and guest rooms. Prior management restricted dogs to the 1st and 2nd floors. Due to allergies and for cleanliness concerns this may now become an issue if policy has changed. Dogs were with us in elevator and on the third floor. Rooms and hallways are clean. Comfortable beds. New thermostat system for heat & cooling. Excellent exercise room. Still reasonable rates.

Asked for a 12 noon check out for the purpose to sleep in as a mini 1 day vacation relaxation away from work. Got woken up by housekeeping twice with the Do Not Disturb on the door present since last night when checking in. Found black hair on bath towels in bathroom. The sink faucet handle is completely broken, pops right off when lifting. I called the front desk at 9:30am letting them know housekeeping had woken me up and was told by the woman working the morning shift she would let them know. Housekeeping again knocked more aggressively 30 minutes later on the door for the second time. Not impressed with the hotel one bit. A bit angry. And person checking me in last night failed to put my points on for the stay. Beyond anooyed as I couldn’t even sleep in as that was the whole purpose of

Was nice of them to notify me the day before my reservation that our reservation was canceled. I made the reservation a month ago. So because I made the reservation on expedia they didn't have to notify me even though they knew over 20 days ago. So now I have nothing for valentines weekend. I will never stay at a best western ever again. We travel a lot and so do our friends and family. They are all going to boycott best western from now on. Really sad as some of them are run well like the one in Niantic. But I will not give any best western my money.

Before I even arrived at hotel, I called to ask for extra information. The woman who answered the phone was extremely dismissive, rude, and ignorant and could not give me the information I was looking for. I had to call the Best Western Company-wide customer service line, which was much more helpful and friendly but the man who called the hotel for me said the lady was extremely rude to him as well. The room was awful. I had paid for the nicer king suite, and it did not live up to expectations at all. Half the outlets in the room didn't work. The sheets had stains all over and the body wash was completely out when we arrived. The iron I used was moldy on the inside from old water in there. The jets in the jacuzzi room were full of grime on the inside, and some of the jets didn't work at

Very disappointed! We were traveling with small kids. I booked 2 rooms with the same transaction with double beds each room and when I arrived they gave me one room one 1st floor double bed and one room on 3rd floor with one bed. When I told them why they gave me one room with one bed they said that the information they got from Trip.com was for a one bed , which was a total lie , I showed him the the rooms I booked were both for double beds. They were dishonest. Also our 18 months baby found a pill on the floor on one of the rooms, very dangerous.
