The Bartlett Hotel and Guesthouse

I appreciate the extra security the hotel has in place. Last night, when we entered the premises late, someone tried to rush in behind us as we opened the front door. He was stopped by the second card-access door, which caught him by surprise. I asked him to use his key card if he was a guest, but it was clear he wasn’t staying at the hotel despite claiming he was checking in. He eventually left, and I felt safe thanks to the security measures in place. We stayed 4 days, queen bed with private bathroom. Street was a bit loud at night since there is a bar across the street. I don’t like room service to come in to my room every day so I was ok since this hotel doesn’t offer room service. There was enough shampoo, conditioner, body wash and hand soap. Hairdryer upon request. Walking minutes

No cleaned, never cleaned. Unfortunately, the room was never cleaned during my entire stay, and the towels were not replaced for four days. I had placed the “Please clean the room” sign outside the door and even spoke with the housekeeping staff on the second floor, but nothing was done. What is worse, before checking out I looked under the bed (as I travel frequently and sometimes things fall there) and found dried liquid stains, dirty napkins, and a paper bag—possibly from a food delivery (photo attached) This level of cleanliness is unacceptable for a hotel. I have submitted a formal complaint , but never answered in days. I also attempted to speak with someone at reception before leaving, but no one was available.Not clean, never cleaned.

Clean, tidy and worth every penny. Located at the centre of SF with a ton of great food places nearby. 15 minutes walk in each direction to enter new worlds like china town, japan town, little italy and many more

I recently stayed at The Bartlett Hotel & Guest House in San Francisco and had a fantastic experience. The location is perfect—situated in Lower Pacific Heights , it's a quiet, charming neighborhood but still close to all the action. One of the best things about this place is how convenient it is for getting around SF.There are tons of great food spots within walking distance.

Stayed 5 days. Had room with Queen bed and private bathroom. Very clean. Basic but good, especially for the price. I don't need daily cleaning and liked not being bothered. I don't need additional service either, everything is available at a short distance walking. I felt safe and the street seems safe. I also like the Panasonic bathroom fan, as I know these are very good at preventing moisture and the associated mold and smell. No sounds from the street, as I was on the side of the building. Bit I did hear sounds from rude guests slamming their doors. Every morning at 5 am the radiator made a loud noise as water was cycled through it. This must be a programmed cycle as it was at 5am every day and woke me up. This caused me to only reward 4 stars and not 5.
