such a great location to explore San Fran touristy areas. The front desk is very friendly and will give you all the needed help. Vicky at the front desk was very forthcoming when I came in and even gave suggestions about places nearby.||Walking distance to union Square where there are multiple boutique shopping places. The hotel is close to other things like grocery stores, Walgreens and restaurants.||The rooms are really clean with really nice and clean bathroom. The room is good for solo or a couple. There is ample amount of space to store your luggage and clothing, as I had a room with walk-in closet.|The bed is comfy and cozy and the room is really warm. I didn’t even have to turn on the heater. They have a decent spread of continental breakfast every morning with a coffee machine that

Stayed here for 3 nights. Was a bit confused and concerned about the parking situation due to mixed reviews, but they do offer valet overnight parking for about $55 per night. They had no problem with us having in and out privileges, however we only used our car once so I am not sure if that made a difference. The rooms are small, however they’re very well kept. Housekeeping tidies the room each day. The service was great. We had no issues with front desk staff. They were always ready and willing to help out. They offer their continental breakfast, but there are some great cafes and restaurants within walking distance. Overall, I would really recommend staying here. This hotel was built in 1905 and it feels like you’re experiencing an early age San Francisco from the decor to the elevator

Loved the history of this hotel and it seems to have a romantic feel to it. Great music playing in the reception area as well as a great Italian restaurant attached. The old time elevator is really amazing. My room was small but was doable for just me. The receptionist was very helpful and friendly. The hotel has a great location and it’s easy to see all the sights. Overall, a very great experience.

The hotel environment is warm and I like the vintage style with the classical lamps and decoration. The staff is helpful. The 24-hr coffee and tea corner is also appreciated. 5pm - 6pm is happy hour and every guest will be offered a glass of wine. But as we were out for sightseeing , we have missed this offer for both days which was a bit disappointing. It will be better if this offer is complimentary without the time limit.

Great place! Really great location. It’s in the middle of downtown so expect some noise at night. They really try here at the hotel. Good enough free breakfast (bagels, coffee, bread for toast, oatmeal, yogurt, pastries and more). Good service. Elevator really old but that made it quant. This hotel is from 1905! Room very clean, big enough, comfy bed. Bathroom maybe a little small but it’s original. Shower prob needs updates. The restaurant attached is really great! Some of the older reviews stated homeless people in alleys. Never saw that. That must have been addressed that in the interim. Felt safe. Reminds me of any big city. Would definitely come back here again.
