The Ameswell Hotel

We are Bay area locals but we always stay at this hotel whenever we are in the area for business, pleasure or a soccer game for my daughter. The hotel is in a good location. While next to the freeway, it is relatively quite inside. I love the modern, minimal and functional design. The rooms and common areas are always clean and well-kept. They are pet friendly and always has treats ready. The restaurant serves great food and drinks. They are very flexible and accommodating to guests. If rooms are available, they'd let us check in early or check out late without charging extra. One time I ended up double booking a room for the same date, and they allowed me to cancel one even if it fell outside of the cancellation window, because it was clearly an honest mistake. Modern, green hotel in Silicon Valley with great rooms & amenities! Roger restaurant, snack & full bar, top of the line fitness center, plus a huge outdoor pool. Very nice outdoor patio area with fire pits & water fountains next to the restaurant/bar. 5th floor superior king rooms facing away from highway are best! The Italian 100% cotton duvet sheets were lovely, but the lightweight polyester insert & foam pillows were uncomfortably warm for sleeping. Room fridges are just drink coolers, not proper refrigerators, so asked for & received a small, portable fridge. Would give this hotel 4.5 stars for excellent facilities, good location near Stevens Creek Trail access & Highway 101. Easy walk to downtown Mountain View; SF Baylands; Google Gradient / Bay View campuses; Microsoft even closer. O

Nice newer hotel in San Jose area. Hotel has it's own cafe so when you wake up, there's a breakfast and coffee options to start the day. Gym was nice and large with new equipments. Hotel rooms were nicely appointed and would definitely stay here again. Check in was simple and parking includes free 3 hours parking. Overnight parking is $20.

I stayed at the Ameswell Hotel in Room 354 from February 17–20 and had a very concerning experience that the hotel has completely ignored. On the morning of February 18, before leaving the room, I intentionally placed my gold bracelet in the pocket of a pair of pants and set the pants on top of my suitcase so I would remember exactly where it was. When I went to retrieve the bracelet on the morning of February 20, it was gone. I carefully unpacked and checked every item in my suitcase to make sure it hadn’t slipped out, but the bracelet had completely disappeared. The only time anyone else had access to the room was during housekeeping service on February 18 or 19. We have stayed at The Ameswell just about every time we are in Mountain View. We have an upcoming stay that might be our 5th or 6th time at the property. The hotel is incredibly consistent. The service is great. The rooms a are clean and quiet. We have never had an issue. The front desk staff is incredibly responsive and kind. For instance I was slow moving due to a migraine on our check out day and they were able to give us a later checkout time. Much appreciated if you're a migraine sufferer. The massage service is really good. I ended up being serviced by the owner and it was one of the top massages I have gotten. The hotel bar and restaurant is great. I've seen some clear locals at the bar, which is always a good sign. The servers and bartenders seem to genuinely enjoy their work.
