Aloft Mountain View

The TV in my room wasn't working this morning, so I reported it to the front desk around 7:30 AM. By 9:30 AM, absolutely nothing had been done. I went down to the desk again, and initially, the staff member (Gloria) offered to change my room. However, they suddenly told me to wait while they called their manager. Right in front of me, they called the manager to ask when maintenance would arrive (apparently their hours are 9 to 5). After hanging up, the staff simply told me I had to wait another hour for it to be fixed. I told them I couldn't wait any longer and requested the room change they initially mentioned, but they flat-out refused and told me to just keep waiting. When I asked to speak to the manager directly, they said the manager hadn't even come in to work yet. The attitude was

The Aloft Mountain View was in a great location and provided me with several options to get to/from Stanford Univ. It also had a big enough parking lot and a great breakfast buffet selection. I also found the staff to be friendly, accessible, and helpful. I would certainly recommend this hotel and would consider staying there again.

Be careful with this hotel. The door locks do not work properly. My rooms lock broke and I had to wait at least 2 hours for the handyman to come to unlock it. Plus, they says that they will take care of you because of the bad experience and they never do. They always lie. They charged me 100 dollars for any damages and the room was perfectly fine when I left. I do no t recommend you this hotel at all. Just imagine if you leave your pet in the room and you cannot get back in.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. Nemo made check in a breeze and was so kind and welcoming. The room was spacious, comfortable and clean. The onsite bar and breakfast options were also great.

I had a really disappointing experience at the hotel bar. My friends and I stopped in after grabbing drinks from a nearby gas station, and all we wanted to do was hang out and play some billiards. Instead of simply explaining the bar’s policy, the bartender tried to guilt-trip us and made the whole situation uncomfortable. It felt like he went out of his way to turn other patrons against us, saying the bar was closing because we continued to drink our outside alcohol, which was honestly embarrassing and unnecessary. We weren’t trying to cause problems — just looking to relax and enjoy a game of pool — but the atmosphere quickly became hostile. Good customer service and respectful communication go a long way, and this interaction left a bad impression. I hope management works on professiona
