Holiday Inn Express Mountain View - S Palo Alto, an IHG Hotel

Yesterday afternoon, my husband started preparing a trip for our family up the west coast in March. Airfare, car, hotel, the works. Sometimes mistakes are made in this process, and the poor guy made a doozy. Instead of booking two rooms for the first night of our trip, he inadvertently booked two rooms for last night. Not aware of his mistake, he had no reason to look at the confirmation email. It wasn't until this morning when he received a check-out email that he realized his mistake. In all honesty, I've done this myself before. It's not ideal for the business or the customer, but I was able to have the situation rectified and the money refunded. My family and I stood here during Mother's Day weekend and it was very clean, the staff were very nice and helpful, our room was very nice and so clean. The beds were comfortable and we were able to keep our room cool with the a/c. The breakfast was excellent with a lot of choices and it all tasted well. Every staff that we encountered here were extremely nice and greeted us with a smile. My kids felt so welcomed here and they were so excited to speak and interact with all of the staff, who smiled and answered all of their questions. I was appreciative for their patience and friendliness with my younger twins.

We stayed here for a week and it's a nice place. The room was clean and quiet (we were on the side away from El Camino). The entire 3rd floor was closed for a remodel, so it wasn't as busy as it could have been. The staff always greeted us as we were coming and going. Conveniently located for what we needed to do. Will definitely stay there again.

Not a great choice overall. The location is good, and the front desk staff was fine. However, one side of the hotel is just feet from a busy road, and rooms on that side have loud traffic noise around the clock. The parking spaces are narrow, and the building—including the elevator—feels old.

Over priced for what it is our room was $490 not sure why for one night mid week. Parking was free. Elevator was scary. Carpet was yikes dirty in hall and room. The breakfast was the best part. And the hot water was good! It was located near our event so that was a bonus.
