Symphony Inn

Clean rooms. Nothing fancy, but the bed is comfortable and the shower has plenty of warm water. The room is comfortable and parking is free. Close to UCSF. Front desk is very friendly and helpful. This was our third time staying here.

I recently stayed at this motel in the heart of San Francisco, and honestly, it was a really good find. It’s not a luxury hotel, but it’s a comfortable and well-renovated spot that’s perfect if you’re looking for something more affordable right in the city center. The cleanliness was top-notch—our room was tidied up daily, and the service was friendly and efficient. Plus, having on-site parking was a big plus—just keep in mind it’s first-come, first-served. Overall, if you need a convenient and reasonably priced place to stay that puts you within walking distance of downtown attractions, this motel is a great pick. It may not be fancy, but it definitely does the job well.

The people at the front desk are very kind, it's in a good enough part of the city with restaurants in walking distance and a restaurant on the corner right outside the hotel parking lot (that we could see from our room). It was nice to have food within walking distance considering I'm not the most adapt to driving around a packed city where occasionally you are stopped on a steep incline. The spa tubs do not work unless you bring a drain plug and a wrench, which was disappointing. The jets won't turn on because they pulled the plastic knob off of it, and it is "hotel policy" that the tubs remain unplugged because they have had people over flow the tubs. I don't understand how adults or children supervised by an adult could over flow multiple tubs so many times it becomes a hotel policy to

I’d stay here again. It’s an old motel, but the rooms seem to have been updated recently. Most importantly, the bed was comfortable and clean. The room and bathroom are small, so you won’t be hanging out there much, but if you only need a simple, cheap place to lay your head at night then this is a good option. They offer free parking in a safe, brightly-lit lot, but I learned the hard way it is limited and NOT guaranteed. The receptionist kindly found a way to squeeze me in, though.

This was our second time staying here. Our first visit was great. The room was decent, customer service was great, location is perfect. Our second visit we brought our 18 and 21 year old, stayed in a double king. Room size was amazing, however there was a lot of mold under the heater along the wall. The shower also had a lot of mold. We were not too worried about the shower, there lacks ventilation, however the heat was on blowing on us, and who knows how much mold was within. Our 18 year old is asthmatic and experiencing symptoms. When we checked out the front desk person didn’t seemed concerned or apologetic at all, which left a sour taste in our mouth.
