Surety Hotel, Autograph Collection

The food was AMAZING! The lobby and restaurant are beautiful but beyond cold in the winter due to the front door opening. Our room was really beautiful but no luggage rack to set a suitcase on, only one chair and no hot water in the shower. Valet was perfect, towels were soft and again the food dessert and drinks were AMAZING.

Poor lighting, couldn’t figure out how to just turn on 1 light. Bathroom lights to bright to keep light on all night. You should install small night light in bathroom. Refrigerator too small and u need coffee maker in roomBeds comfortable, bedding cozy, and quiet room. Thanks for great weekend in Des Moines.

My boyfriend and I were walked over from a different Marriott property nearby when that hotel’s system went down. After a frustrating lack of customer service at the other property (which I believe is managed by a 3rd party), we drove over to the Surety. We were immediately comforted by the stellar staff and their excellent customer service at the Surety. Ross and Tellah at the front desk checked us in quickly and explained the amenities. The lobby is beautiful and unique, which is why we love Autograph Collections. Valet staff were wonderful and accommodating, as well. The bed was extremely comfortable as were the pillows. I appreciate they have actual comforters or duvets on the beds rather than a flimsy pile of sheets. I love the historical aspect of the space, as well. Our room had be

Stayed here during a long weekend trip to Des Moines. We had a corner room that faced the courthouse and had a beautiful view every morning. The room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. There were times during the trip that we didn't want to leave the room and elected to relax over the afternoon. The restaurant had incredible food and the peanut butter pie for desert was the perfect way to end the meal. There was also a coffee bar in the lobby. The service was excellent and the pastries for breakfast were fresh and paired well with the latte. Definitely planning to come back when it's warmer!

Absolutely obsessed with this fabulous Hotel!!! The views were so amazing that I hardly slept because I could not stop looking out my windows;)) The evening we checked in, I started to take a couple of pictures to post here. The super sweet hostess suggested other areas and angles to take pictures of...and made me feel so welcome. The whole place is historic and romantic feeling. It even smells good! There is a beautiful espresso bar to start your morning out right along with the amazing breakfast menu options. Very beautiful ;)
