Renaissance Des Moines Savery Hotel

Feels kind of like they tried to preserve the age of the hotel but didn't do a great job. Location was ok and the staff were actually really great. I wish the ownership would give them a better product. The rooms were clean though, great for an overnight stay but overall unimpressive and not worth the price whatsoever.

Overall impression was well below expectations, especially for the price of the room. I paid for an upgraded room/experience but everytime I went to check out the lounge, it was closed. The room was actually quite small and did not even have liners in the trash cans. The bathroom was horribly small, especially for the price of the room. Extremely small bathroom, and the toilet paper is just a roll you have to pick up and unroll, its not even on a dispenser, how nasty is that?? How many dirty guests hands have utilized that roll prior to us to clean themselves?? The toilet paper wasn't even on a dispenser, The toilet was nearly wedged in the gap between the shower and wall, almost hit my knees on the shower door it was so tight. Our Class of 1970 held our 55th reunion at your beautiful and historic hotel. The venue was beautiful and well maintained. The food in the bar and served in the buffet for our event was well presented and delicious. Christoper was extremely accommodating, friendly, and receptive to each and every one of the guests throughout our event. The remaining staff were also well trained and efficient in their respective roles. Thank you again for helping us to make this reunion so memorable!

Positive: The room size was incredible! Loved the art and history of the hotel as well. Negative: Unable to get a decent cup of coffee,they were renovating the coffee shop and bar.

I dont know about rooms im sure they're amazing but the cocktail lounge here, the cora room! Perfection! Bella is phenomenal!!! Food is perfection, i still dream about the charcuterie board! The drinks were delicious, 10/10 recommend!!
