Super 8 by Wyndham Richmond/Broad Street

What a nightmare. The rooms are infested with bugs. They are everywhere. Burnt up sheets. The whole floor smells like weed in hallways. The worst is i was trying to relax on a Saturday when the manager came in and said they have to do maintenance. Said it would take 5-10 minutes. After an hour of some guy being in my room doing a horrible caulk job, i finally asked him to leave. Ten minutes later the door flung open, no knock, and this manager was screaming to either let him finish caulking or he would call the police? What? Absolutely the most horrible hotel experience ive ever encountered by 1,000xs. Complete nightmare. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS. I'm at the hotel across the street for tonight. 100xs better and only $11 more. Absolutely worth it

Positive: Outside of building has a nice paint job. Negative: I had to buy roach spray because of the number present. Stain on carpet consistent with loosing lunch. Credit card charged 50 dollars for deposit instead of placing a hold.

A gem in the rough, a diamond to be made. Some people will have complaints yet since they are in the process of renovating it may take time to sparkle. The good thing is that its in progress. Great Location, good food areas, stores, etc. New floors begin installed, new lights, good price for the money, rewards points accepted, a gem in the making

I would not recommend this place. While it is cheap and the bed was great, the room and facilities needs a lot of repairs. Loose tiles in the bathroom, tub was chipped and stained. The bedside lamps were rusted and the shade was ripped. There was unknown spots and cracks on the walls. I even saw roaches and some small bugs. I asked for a wake-up call for two of the three nights that never happened. On check-in, I had to reconfirm everything in my reservation, and could hardly hear the person though the partition. I ended up not staying my last night and rather came on home early.

I think this is my first Google review, but I had to write it. No breakfast, rooms of absolute gloom, a bathtub with no way to stop it from draining (so you can’t actually take a bath), freezing cold at night, and a heater that, if you choose to turn it on, makes a hell of a noise. On top of that, the staff refused to provide even an extra blanket so you don’t freeze at night (only one blanket!!) … The only positive point was the hotel receptionist, who was kind, but overall it was an absolute disaster. In France, this type of hotel is called a ‘hôtel social’, meaning a homeless shelter. I should specify that I used to have a good opinion of Super 8, as I stayed in several of them in Tennessee about 10 years ago, with breakfast included and without freezing at night.
