Richmond Marriott

I had a very pleasant stay at the Marriott Richmond on Broad Street. The staff was truly wonderful friendly, especially Kim at the reception, professional, and always willing to go above and beyond to make sure everything was taken care of. Their hospitality really stood out and made the experience memorable. While some aspects of the hotel feel a bit dated in terms of décor and overall aesthetic, it’s very well maintained and comfortable. The location is exceptional, with convenient access to restaurants, shopping, and major roadways. Overall, the outstanding staff and prime location more than make up for the slightly older look of the property. I would definitely stay here again.

We booked into this hotel for a full week thinking that a 4 star hotel with a restaurant would be able to satisfy our needs. This means a decent night sleep and a place for a meal after doing business all day. |Imagine our surprise when after a full day of work coming back and going to the restaurant for a quick decent meal only to be told that if you don’t have a reservation you won’t be able to be served. There were at least half the tables unoccupied but they said they were for people with reservations later on. |We went to management and expressed our surprise and discontent with the situation. We said that we would have expected that a few tables would be set aside for hotels guests. They apparently hadn’t thought of that and said they will look at it for the future. ||Totally usel

We had an amazing weekend stay while attending Galaxycon at Richmond Convention Center. We loved the convenience of the connector bridge to the convention center so we could go back to our room and rest periodically throughout the day. Cons can be exhausting :-) All of the staff, from the front desk, bartenders, and cleaning staff, were so pleasant and helpful anytime of day or night. Even when I requested a blanket at 4:00 am because I wanted to lounge on the couch and watch YouTube on my tablet and not disturb my husband while he slept - lol. They sure enough brought me up a blanket asap. We stayed on the 17th floor and the skyline view was beautiful. Our King Bed Room with shower was huge, too. That was a plus since we had so much cosplay luggage. The room service food was so delicious.

I want to personally recognize Isaiah at the front desk for the way he handled my arrival. I checked in on a night when the hotel was completely sold out, and unfortunately my room was not ready. That could have easily turned into a frustrating experience, but Isaiah immediately took ownership of the situation and set a reassuring tone. His communication stood out right away. He left a clear and thoughtful voicemail update and kept me informed in person without me having to track down information. He was transparent about what was happening, realistic about timing, and focused on minimizing my wait as much as possible. Front desk staff is amazing but very special thanks to Beloved. She has an amazing personality and so helpful. I had a bit of a stressful day and she literally turned my day into happiness just from her friendly outgoing personality. She is very knowledgeable and offered many places to go for dinner and breakfast etc. I couldn’t wait to see her the next day just to thank her for making my stay great. Definitely the BEST customer service I have encountered in years.
